A two to one sand to cement mix is preferred after initial tests. Challenges with grout bags lead to hand packing for better results. After grouting, excess mortar is cleaned for aesthetics. Landscaping plans include stone backfilling for drainage, and a flexible sealant is applied for seasonal movement. The choice of natural stone veneer is reflected upon for its long-term value.
